We made it to Burning Man! Thanks to the kind funding from Secret Garden Party we were able to create a new Is Land!

The lovely people over at Secret Garden Party HQ have kindly given us help towards making a new Is Land for Burning Man Festival in the Nevada Desert, Is Land will go to the desert ball!

The search is reaching far and wide with national newspapers alerted, blogs in Austria getting word out and talk of a UFO sighting that could have been Is Land near the Isle of Wight!

The community spirit and ethos of Secret Garden Party and Burning Man has triumphed over a senseless act of vandalism by a tiny number of people, to allow a further 50,000 to enjoy the piece.

We still hope that we’ll find the original too, so if you hear of anything let us know. Thank you for all your nice wishes and peeled eyes!

Due to ignorant vandals, the original Is Land is currently floating at an unknown height somewhere within the atmosphere.

However what goes up must come down, so the hunt is on. If what looks like a floating chunk of earth turns up in your Nan’s back garden, or if you think you see a new planet intercept your Easyjet flight to the Algarve, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. Is Land is made of durable polyurethane with foliage décor and so, if found, can be repaired and go on to make its maiden voyage to the US of A.

If you have ever seen the film UP, you know how important a balloon can be in allowing people to get to their dream destination, but in this instance it’s not Paradise Falls but Black Rock City in the Nevada desert.
